company. Twenty years on, we are the largest crude oil transporter in South Korea, with more tankers
than any domestic rival. Our success is based on financial stability and unparalleled customer service.

Major long-term contracts ensure a secure financial base, not only for the division, but also the company
as a whole. Our vessels transport almost one-third of all crude oil used in South Korea. In return,
our major customers guarantee all costs, plus a margin of profit.

Given our years of operational expertise, experience and our solid reputation, our distinguished client
list includes some of the world’s largest oil companies.

But we refuse to be complacent about our leading position. We are constantly pursuing new business
opportunities. New business also means we can also guard against the volatile nature of the tanker
market. In addition, some of our vessels are involved in spot trading -- their numbers depend on the
prevailing economic circumstances.

A further area for future growth is serving the burgeoning demand for crude oil in China. We are
constantly striving to find new ways to better serve this burgeoning market. This includes setting
up joint ventures with other companies to secure the most competitively-priced vessels with the best
available services.

With confidence that we can provide a first-rate operation to any customer, anywhere around the world,
we have increased our fleet. We got deliveries of 3 new double-hull VLCCs in 2003 and 2004, and
ordered 9 more ones in 2006 and 2007. Looking ahead, SK Shipping will aggressively consolidate its
regional position while expanding its global presence.
