Weidong Ferries
|
Founded in 1990, this Korean-Chinese joint venture company created the first ever car-ferry route
between the two countries was created in the same year. Currently, the largest, In September 1990,
fastest and most luxurious car-ferry vessel, New Golden Bridge II (26,463 tons), makes 3 roundtrip
voyages a week. In 1996, another luxury car ferry, the German-made Xiang Xue Lan, commenced
operations from Inchon to China, making two round trips per week. After a break of 40 years, the
Weidong routes have reconnected Korea with China, and have fostered trade and economic cooperation
between the two countries. With continued improvements in the fleet and service levels, this business
will continue to thrive.

Dalian Tanker Terminal
|
SK Shipping commenced this joint venture company with partners from Japan and China in 1996.
Located in Dalian, China, it deal with the storage of inbound and outbound LPG cargoes and the
processing, storage, and sales of petrochemicals. Over its short history, the volume of cargo handled
by the terminal has grown 300% and is continuing to expand. Facilities have been added as well
and now it has 14 OLC tanks and 4 LPG tanks, and 2 berths.
In the near future, the terminal will become a leading logistics center for petrochemical cargoes in China.

Shenyang SK-Zhengchang Environmental Protection
|
|
It is another joint venture company between Korea and China established in Shenyang, China in
January, 2003. As awareness to and regulations on the environment are strengthened,
the company provides ¡°bio-recycling water closets¡± and ¡°sewage disposal systems¡± to
market in China.
