SK Shipping and all our vessels abide by the ISM Code governing safety and ISO 9002 ensuring quality standards. We have been also striving to go beyond that industry minimum and acquired ISO14001 accreditation designed for the protection of the environment, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001) certification and ISPS Code.

As part of our commitment to safety and the protection of the environment,
our emphasis is on accident prevention. Crews are regularly trained and made constantly
aware of potential safety hazards. This training is overseen at the highest level by the company's
"Safety and Environment Committee" which meets every month and reports directly to the Board
of Directors.

Beyond accident prevention, we have fully developed contingency plans designed to reduce
response times and minimize the impact of an emergency. All of our vessel and its crew
frequently participate in a mobilized drill or virtual exercise to simulate the conditions following
an accident. An illustration of how seriously we take this is the fact that the mobilized drill
includes the participation of the port authority, the marine police and salvage teams.
