CEO Paek, Seok-hyun of SK Shipping attended the long-term charter signing ceremony of a bituminous coal transporting vessel ordered by 5 power generating companies. The ceremony was hosted by Korea's Ministry of Knowledge and Economy on February 14. The KRW 2 trillion-worth of long-term bituminous coal transportation agreement was sealed by KEPCO affiliate in cooperation with several other Korean shipping companies. The agreement conclusion is expected to be very helpful for Korean shipmakers and shippers who faced hard economic situation recently. Four largest Korean shipping companies including SK Shipping expect to see additional transportation profit of approximately KRW 2 trillion (KRW 110 billion annually) for the next 18 years
